Karma: 4 Mini Rant « Thread Started on May 24, 2009, 4:05pm » Ok, time for a bit of ranting....but not to much lol. One thing i've noticed in this site is the INSANE amount of chars that people have and maintain. I'm originally from a site where you were allowed 3 chars, and then 2 vermin. Saying that, it gets confusing to remember that a certain 10 chars all belong to 1 person. I went back and read the rules of this site again, and saw something interesting. The rules read, "No more than 3 alts without permission." I think that we, the staff, have been a bit leinient with that rule, but I think that should change. In my opinion it is better to bring life to 4 or 5 chars rather than create 20. Another thing i've noticed is that people are neglecting to read what is posted ahead of their post. If you are so inclined to post, then it is your responsibility to know what's going on. Yes, i'm guilty of doing this as well, but it still is really annoying. Also, if something happens in a certain thread, say Rally, it should affect what happens in another thread, say New Plan. Correct me if i'm misinformed here, but last time I checked Rein Skystorm had taken over the horde in Rally. Now I go to the New Plan thread, and I get really confused. First of all, how can the army have retreated, when in Rally, we're still fighting. Yes, I know not many people have been posting in Rally, but that doesn't mean that it's stopped! *Sigh* i'm done for now, I think. I didn't feel like arguing so I just went with it. I dont care, though really. It wont bother me. As to the characters thing, I dont think it should really matter, as long as your characters are active. Like me, I have a lot, yes. Are they all active? Yea, though not all are in threads at the moment. It can get a little out of hand when everyone has a ton of characters but I think we should probably let each member have 4 or 5. Springheel does have a point though. Lots of people can keep more then 3 characters active. I feel the/us staff should begin to enforce some of the rules around here. But I also believe we should revise the rules into something everybody can adapt to. I will re-read the rules and see where we could do some revising. And I also think Rocky is right, too (welcome back by the way!). Maybe if we had active alternatives, we could keep them. However, if they are inactive they should either be more active in posts or be deleted.
