He started to wonder if we should turn back to Redwall but suddenly !crack! He looked around for a moment and saw nothing. Signaling everybeast to stop, he slowly approached where the sound came from. He winked. Pulling an arrow from his quiver, Rein aimed it at John. Then Zephyr spoke up, "Nice meeting you again, Skip." Smirking, Rein pulled the bow even more taught then it was... "Time to meet your dieing day, little mouse." Twang! The arrow shot off its bowstring... ...But it didn't hit the right target. Rufe came from out of the river and tackled John to the ground. Standing up, Rufe had an arrow in his shoulder. Grunting with pain, he ripped it out and stared at the black fox in front of him. THen things happened too fast it was hard to comprehend so quickly. Rocky came from behind Rein and tackled him to the ground. Rufe ran over to them and tied Rein up. Pulling Rein to his feet, Rocky walked him over to a tree and tied him there. Ignoring Rein's calls, Rocky and Rufe strode over to Skipper, "Remember me, Skip?" Before Skipper could reply, Rocky had him in a hug. "Nice to see you again, mate! Who's this friend you got here?" Rocky asked. AS the figure drew closer is was clear to see it as a snowy white owl. Tyral landed in a flurry next to Skipper. He folded his big wings neatly across his back. HE blinked his great golden eyes an he surveyed the animals before him. Tyral was familair with John, since he too was a Redwaller, and Skipper of course, who was well known to just about everyone. The two otters Rocky and Rufe, though where a different matter. Although he had seen them several times he had never been properly introduced. "Greetings sirs. I saw you from above and wondered if you where having some kind of meeting or perhaps a vermin wrangling?" Looking at the black fox bound to the tree he said "Ugly black brute arn't yeh?" BIC: Tyral blinked his great golden eyes and said " I have seen traces of vermin in my travles. THey leave awful messes where they camp and even bigger ones where they meet poor helpless animals." Tyral shivered as he rembered some of the sights he had seen. He had buried many bodies in the past few days. He had also been tracking the vermin closely. The seemed to wander aimlessly. THankfully they stayed well away from Redwall abbey. THey wheren't a very bog band so they couldn't do a lot of harm but it was better that they just stay away. Tyral swivvled his head around to at Skipper. "I agree with Sir John. I think we hunt these vile vermin down and kill them. They are nothing but dirt on in a peacful country."
